Sibyls (for Rosalind)

Gouache on paper, 76 x 56 cm
Rosalind Franklins work on DNA provided the key photograph to unlock the puzzle of the structure of DNA. She died too young to receive the Nobel Prize she so richly deserved. This wreath is of oak leaves, the surface on which the ancient sibyls wrote their prophecies.
